Pittsburgh’s pirates had only a few tickets in the regular season and a strange injury on the opening day already threw a key in the alignment of the team.
The pirates’ team, Nick Gonzales, played in 94 games last season and hit .270 with an OPS of .709. It was expected that it had an impact on its third year with Pittsburgh this season, but those hopes were launched against the Miami Marlins on Thursday afternoon.

Gonzales beat a two-run home run at the sixth input of the 5-4 defeat of the team against the Marlins. When the transmission tracked the great fly over the fence, Gonzales was seen limbing around the first base.
After the game, Manager Derek Shelton said Gonzales suffered a “non -displaced fracture of the left ankle.” It was placed on the 10 -day injury list.

Gonzales originally injured when he committed a fight of his ankle in spring training. The team called Enmanuel Valdez de Triple-A Indianapolis to fill the place on the list.
Gonzales, 25, can play in the second base and the campocorto. He was selected in the first 2020 mlb draft round and made his debut in the Major Leagues in 2023. He hit .209 with 13 races promoted in 35 games in his first season.
Last year, Gonzales had seven homers and 49 ranges driven to go with his solid bat in 387 appearances on the plate.

The baseball reference projected Gonzales to reach .259 with 49 races promoted in 406 appearances on the plate.
