PM arrives in Baku for bilateral conversations

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Baku on Sunday for an official two -day visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Discussions will focus on further strengthening bilateral relations, expanding trade and investment, improving cooperation in the energy sector, synergizing efforts to deal with climate change, deepening defense collaboration and promoting cultural exchanges.

Several memorandums of understanding (MOU) and agreements are expected to be signed, which further solidifies the association between the two countries.

As part of their commitments, Prime Minister and Azerbaijan leadership will also go to the Pakistan-Azerbaijan business forum, scheduled for Monday. The forum will bring together the business leaders of both countries to explore roads for joint and commercial opportunities and investment, emphasizing the collaboration of companies to business (B2B).

Pakistan and Azerbaijan share a long -standing brotherhood link, backed by shared values ​​and common aspirations. This visit underlines the commitment of both nations to deepen their bilateral ties, improve economic cooperation and promote regional collaboration.

The prime minister is accompanied by a high -level ministerial delegation, including the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Minister of Investment and Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan, Minister of Pakistanis and Human Resources in the Foreign Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Minister of Information and Transmission Ataullah Tarar, and special assistant of the first Minister Syed Tariq Fatmi.

The Prime Minister added: “We expect productive discussions to further strengthen the deeply rooted links between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. We also seek to improve commercial and investment ties.” Application
