Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed on Tuesday Pakistan’s commitment to empower his youth through transformative initiatives, emphasizing his role as the future of the nation.
When addressing the inaugural session of the Summit of the Asia Youth Alliance of the Commonwealth (Caya) in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said: “The Government is totally committed to empowering young people through initiatives such as our” Youth Program “, that has benefited millions throughout Pakistan. “
The prime minister stressed that more than 60% of the population of the Commonwealth includes young people. “Through vigorous training and equipping these hands with modern technology and techniques, they must become great hands,” he said, emphasizing the importance of preparing young people to create a peaceful, progressive and prosperous future.
He praised the youth alliance of the Commonwealth Asia as a vital platform to promote associations in global challenges. “As a founding member, Pakistan gives great importance to Commonwealth and its institutions,” he said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz stressed the youthful bulk of Pakistan, emphasizing the need to provide platforms and opportunities that allow young people to actively contribute to the construction of the nation and the formulation of policies.
Highlighting the past achievements, the prime minister cited programs such as the “Punjab Education Province”, which provided stipends so that high achievements seek quality education. He also mentioned the expansion of Daanish schools to Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Baluchistan and remote areas of Kashmir.
According to the youth program, almost 600,000 laptops were distributed to high -performance students.
In his final comments, the prime minister urged young people to “dream of courage, act with courage, work tirelessly and have faith in the spirit of conviction.” He described them as pioneers who would unlock opportunities for Pakistan’s future prosperity.
During the event, Prime Minister Shehbaz also administered the oath to the newly elected National Youth Council and distributed prizes to high winners of several fields.
