The Vice Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirate, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed al Nahyan, arrived in Islamabad on Sunday for an official two -day visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

He was received at the airport by the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar. The visit has been described as “significant” and a reflection of the “historical ties and roots” between the two countries.

“This high -level visit underlines the commitment of both parties to expand the scope of mutual cooperation in areas of shared interest,” said the foreign office in a statement.

During the visit, Sheikh Abdullah is scheduled to hold conversations with the high Pakistani officials, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The key problems on the agenda include trade, investment, energy collaboration, regional security and improved people from people. The two parties are also expected to review the regional developments and discuss joint initiatives.
