Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, on the occasion of Pakistan’s independence day, made a special visit to the construction technology park in construction here, expressing a strong disgust due to the slow pace of work and ordering the authorities to accelerate their completion.
This was the third inspection of the Prime Minister’s project, which was originally scheduled to be completed before March 23, 2025, but has faced delays, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s office.
It represented the officials worried on the site, emphasizing that the park must be completed within the revised timeline while complying with international quality standards.
“Make sure the provision of world class facilities and double your efforts to finish this project according to the original instructions,” the prime minister told the project managers.
The IT Park, which consists of two underground floors, a ground floor and nine upper floors, will have office spaces, an incubation center, a commercial support center, R&D laboratories, a level III data center, an auditorium and parking for 1,200 vehicles. It is expected to create employment opportunities for youth, drive economic growth, improve the competitiveness of Pakistan’s global IT and join the digital division.
Bangladesh
Prime Minister Shehbaz, reiterating Pakistan’s desire to improve commercial and people contacts with Bangladesh, demanded a greater strengthening of bilateral cooperation in political, economic and cultural areas.
The Prime Minister, at a meeting with the High Commissioner of the Popular Republic of Bangladesh, Iqbal Hussain Khan, who paid him a courtesy call, expressed his satisfaction with the growing commitment between Pakistan and Bangladesh in several domains.
While remembered his “warm and productive” interactions with the main advisor of Dr. Mohammad Yunus de Bangladesh, including his last meeting in Cairo on the banks of the D-8 summit last December, he expressed his satisfaction for the rebirth of several bilateral mechanisms between the two sides.
