Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will go to Qatar on September 15 to attend the emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha. On Saturday he said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FO).
The summit, co -crocked by Pakistan, has been convened in response to recent Israeli air attacks on Doha and an alarmingly deteriorated situation in Palestine and the growing Israeli aggression in Gaza and the West Bank.
According to the FO statement, the Summit will bring together leaders and senior officials of the Organization of Member States of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) that will deliberate on the regional crisis and formulate a joint strategy.

“The summit reflects the urgency, which is felt throughout the Muslim world in the light of Israeli strikes and tries to force the Palestinians,” said the fo.
A preparatory session of the Ministers of Heads of State is scheduled for September 14 before the summit. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Ishaq Dar, will represent Pakistan in ministerial conversations.
The FO also pointed out that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Doha at the beginning of September 11, where he met Qatar’s leadership and expressed the solidarity and support of Pakistan.
“Pakistan strongly condemns Israeli aggression against Qatar and other states of the region and reaffirms its commitment to regional peace, the security and sovereignty of its partners,” added the Foreign Ministry.
Islamabad reiterated its firm position on the subject of Palestine and requested an immediate end to hostilities through dialogue.
