Publishing in X, he said that the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) have always found themselves in the first national cause of Pakistan, and his voice has immense weight.

Iqbal said that the Jac Action Committee (JAC) raised the voice of citizens, and the government, under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, took these concerns seriously.

The confrontation in Azad Jammu and Kashmira (AJK) began after the Awami Jammu Cashmira (Jaac) Action Committee requested a strike that requires public reforms and facilities, paralyzing everyday life as the markets closed, the roads were blocked and suspended.

The violence broke out in the cities, including Muzampharabad, Mirpur and Dhir Kot, leaving at least nine dead people, including three police officers, with hundreds injured.

Armed confrontations were reported between protesters and security forces, while the manifestations of solidarity were organized throughout Pakistan. Then, the Federal Government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz, formed a high -level negotiation committee that includes higher ministers and former AJK leaders.

Multiple rounds of conversations with the JAAC were held, focusing on unresolved issues, such as refugee assembly and the number of ministers. A permanent review committee and a panel of constitutional experts have been established to monitor the agreement and ensure that constitutional issues are approached fairly.

The supervision agency will comply with each “15 days” to track progress, while the expert panel examines unresolved legal problems. The authorities urged calm, emphasizing that the peaceful protest is a constitutional right but should not interrupt public order.

The Pakistan Human Rights Commission (HRCP) and Amnesty International requested impartial investigations from the clashes, highlighting the risks raised by the blackouts of communication and misinformation.

With most demands already addressed in previous negotiations, the final agreement was signed, offering a way to restore normality in the region.
