Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Wednesday that Pakistan was ready for a significant dialogue with India in all pending issues.
The prime minister declared this during his meeting with the British high commissioner for Pakistan Jane Marriott, said the prime minister’s office media wing in a press release.
The prime minister expressed his appreciation for the role of the United Kingdom in the decalciation of tensions during the confrontation of Pakistan-India.
He welcomed the recent decision of the United Kingdom government to resume Pia flights to and from the United Kingdom, which he said, would contribute largely to relieve the difficulties facing the British Pakistani community, as well as improve people’s exchanges to people.
He particularly appreciated the role of the high commissioner in this regard.
The regional situation in southern Asia and the Middle East was also discussed.
The United Kingdom High Commissioner thanked the Prime Minister for receiving it and informed him about his recent visit to London, where he had broad consultations to improve the bilateral ties of Pakistan-Unido Reinian.
She praised the economic performance of the government in the last year and a half, under the vision and leadership of the prime minister, which had caused a significant improvement in all key macroeconomic indicators.
He also shared with the Prime Minister, the United Kingdom’s perspective on regional developments in southern Asia and the Middle East.
Privatization Commission
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered the authorities to ensure that the Privatization Commission receives total autonomy according to the law to eliminate bureaucracy and unnecessary elements during the process of denationalization of state companies (SOE).
The prime minister presided over a review meeting on the progress of the privatization of state companies here at the Prime Minister’s office, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s office.
