In a meeting with the president of the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the government’s commitments would be honored, and all the concerns raised by PPP would be addressed accordingly, said Express News.
During the meeting, the PPP delegation raised several key concerns. They expressed objections regarding the controversial channel projects and highlighted security concerns in the Kurram district. The PPP also expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of relief for victims of flooding in Baluchistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz assured the delegation that the government’s commitment would be fulfilled to solve the problems related to the channels, the security in Kurram and the help for the people affected by the floods in Baluchistan.
In a statement after the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz praised PPP’s leadership for his active and dynamic role in fulfilling the public’s expectations in all provinces and collaborating with the federal government to improve the life of common citizens.
The prime minister emphasized the importance of cooperation between federal and provincial governments, as well as all political parties, to guarantee a brighter future for the country.
The PPP delegation included outstanding leaders such as Senate President Yusuf Raza Gilani, Naveed Qamar, Raja Pervez Ashraf and other members of the Superior Party.
