PM Shehbaz, Erdogan and Aliyev Express solidarity with a friendly walk

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the president of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, took a friendly walk together in Khankendi, Azerbaijan, after the summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

The president of Azerbaiyani informed Prime Minister and the Turkish President about Khankendi and his historic buildings, said Prime Minister’s office media wing in a statement on Saturday.

The three leaders participated in an informal and pleasant conversation during the walk.

As a symbolic gesture of unity, leaders took hand to express exemplary fraternal relationships and solidarity between Pakistan, Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

Later, President Aliyev personally led Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Shusha for lunch.

In a separate development out of the Eco Summit on Friday, Pakistan and Azerbaijan signed a historical agreement for an Azerbaija investment of $ 2 billion in the economy of Pakistan, marking a significant impulse to bilateral ties.

The agreement was ended in the presence of Prime Minister Shehbaz, the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, and the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov.

The investment pact follows the discussions held between Prime Minister Shehbaz and President Aliyev, and prepares the scenario for a more detailed memorandum of understanding, which is expected to sign during the next visit of President Aliyev to Pakistan.
