PM Shehbaz promises to carry the unique public service model of Azerbaijan to Islamabad

Tashkent: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the “Asan Khidmat” Center on Tuesday (Asan Xidmat) in Baku, Azerbaijan and praised the installation that offers more than 400 services to residents, while expressing plans to replicate the model in Islamabad.

The prime minister, who was on a two -day visit to the country of Central Asia, toured the center in the capital of the country that presents modern technology and “excellent” human resources, which he reflected the forecast and dynamism of the president of Azerbaijan , Ilham Aliyev.

“I also visited an Innoland Center, where young and volunteers are actively committed. It is one of the most modern centers that I have visited worldwide. The full brands go to my brother Ilham Aliyev for their visionary and stimulating leadership.” Said Shehbaz said.

The prime minister stressed that, although there are similar centers in Pakistan, such as Punjab, the Asan Khidmat Center in Baku is distinguished through its scale and advanced service delivery systems that effectively address the needs of citizens.

“We would love to benefit from Azerbaijan’s experience. I would be happy to have a replica of this in Islamabad,” he said.

Shehbaz said that Pakistan would like to start a pilot project in Islamabad based on the Asan Khidmat model and that his country would sign an agreement with Azerbaijan to benefit from his experience.

He also invited a center team to visit Pakistan to explore cooperation opportunities.

During the visit, the president of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovation, Ulvi Mehdiyev, welcomed the prime minister.

During the informative session, he said that Asan Khidmat had become a renowned institution due to its excellent performance in providing efficient public services. He said that the single model facilitates the provision of public services and provides citizens to access more than 400 services from 30 government and 15 private institutions, all under the same roof.

Mehdiyev informed the Prime Minister that the center was launched as part of the integral reforms of institutional governance that guarantee the transparent, responsible and efficient delivery of public services, and the comments of citizens play a crucial role in impulse improvements.

Prime Minister Shehbaz was also informed about the Asan Khidmat mobile service, which includes specially designed buses and a train and delivery of essential public services directly to local communities. Later, the prime minister left Baku to Tashkent for a two -day visit.

Both nations are committed to strengthening regional connectivity and economic integration.
