In a statement, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shafqat Ali Khan, said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy a historical relationship, rooted in shared faith, values and mutual trust.

The visit of the Prime Minister will provide an important opportunity to the two leaders to consolidate this unique association, while exploring new collaboration routes, for the benefit of the towns of the two countries.

Prime Minister Shehbaz has been in Qatar this week, attending the emergency Arab-Islamic summit, where he met the Saudi heir prince Mohammad Bin Salman on the sidelines. The summit was held after the Israeli attack against Doha addressed to the negotiators of Hamas.

Hamas said six people died in an Israeli strike in the group complex in Doha on Tuesday, including the son of his main negotiator and a Qatar security officer.

The authorities described conversations as warm and cordial. The two leaders discussed the regional situation after Israel’s aggression. “This was a deliberate attempt by Israel to derail the peace efforts of the Middle East,” Sharif said, condemning the attack.

Shehbaz praised the “Bold and Sagaz Leadership” by Mohammed Bin Salman to unify the Muslim world and assured him the “total diplomatic support of Pakistan, particularly in the UN Security Council, where Pakistan is a non -permanent member, as well as in other multilateral forums, including the OIC.”

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, visited Saudi Arabia last month to attend the 21st Extraordinary Session of the Organization of Ministers of Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC).
