Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to eliminate terrorism, saying that Pakistan’s development and prosperity are directly linked to national security.

Speaking at a federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad, Shehbaz Sharif praised the sacrifices of the armed forces in anti -terrorist efforts, promising that his contributions “will always be remembered.”

Discussing the economic situation, the prime minister cited his recent conversations with the World Bank officials and the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), who praised the macroeconomic stability of Pakistan and the positive indicators promoted by the reforms led by the government.

Shehbaz Sharif also referred to a recent Gallup survey, stating that 55% of the business community had expressed confidence in the improvement of the business environment of the country part.

When ordering the Ministry of Commerce and related divisions to improve bilateral trade with Türkiye, Prime Minister Shehbaz established a $ 5 billion objective, after the visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Pakistan.

“The Turkish president has always supported Pakistan,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz, added that Erdogan has constantly advocated the freedom of Kashmir and Palestine.

With the improvement of Pakistan’s economic perspective, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the need for sustained reforms and stronger associations in international trade.
