Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has visited Quetta to meet with wounded soldiers in the recent terrorist attack in the city.
During his day visit, he paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the security forces and emphasized the need for unity against the growing challenges of terrorism in the region.
The prime minister, who was accompanied by senior officials, visited the combined military hospital (CMH) in Quetta, where wounded soldiers were being treated.
He praised the courage and dedication of the soldiers, describing them as “the heroes of the nation” and expressed pride in their sacrifice for the protection of Pakistan.
During his speech at a meeting after visiting the hospital, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said: “Our brave soldiers are giving their blood to rectify the great mistakes of the past. They are fighting to eliminate terrorism, and it is through their sacrifices that Pakistan emerges victorious. “
He also expressed his admiration for the determination of injured soldiers, who remained positive despite their injuries. “Even if part of their bodies is affected, they see it as a sacrifice for the greater good of the nation. They told me that if we have to leave our lives for the cause of our country, it is not a great price to pay”
Prime Minister Sharif also emphasized that the fight against terrorism is a collective effort, saying: “With the leadership of the armed forces of Pakistan, the officers, the soldiers and the political leadership, we will make sure that Pakistan becomes a shelter peaceful”.
Referring to the recent terrorist attack in the Kalat de Quetta region, where 18 soldiers were martyred, the prime minister assured the public that the agencies of application of the law of the country were working tirelessly to ensure peace in the region. He also recognized the sacrifices made by fallen soldiers and reaffirmed his commitment to safeguard the citizens of Baluchistan and the whole country.
“Today is not the moment of division or politics. We must be united in our efforts to combat terrorism. Only through unity we can defeat the forces of extremism,” he said.
The prime minister also praised the families of the soldiers for raising young men as brave, describing them as the pride of the nation. “We greet them, and with their sacrifices, Pakistan will be victorious and strong as never,” he concluded.
Previously, the prime minister was received by Governor Sheikh Jafar Khan Commandkhel and Prime Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti. They jointly held a meeting with other key figures, including the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Information, the Minister of Energy, the main secretary and IG of the Police.
The meeting also focused on the security situation and efforts to strengthen the peace and development of Baluchistan.
