PM Shehbaz Sharif leaves for the official visit to Malaysia


Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif went to Kuala Lumpur on Sunday for an official three -day visit at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim.

The high -level delegation includes the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, ISHAQ Dar, Federal Minister of Information and Transmission of Tarar, and the special assistant of Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.

Both countries are expected to sign comprehension memorandums (MOU) for cooperation in commerce, education, energy, infrastructure, investment, information technology, telecommunications and halal industry.

The last visit of Prime Minister Ibrahim to Pakistan was at the beginning of October 2024, when he was awarded with Nishan-E-Pakistan in recognition of his support for the Islamic Brotherhood and Cooperation.

Pakistan and Malaysia are linked through the Economic Association of Malaysia of Pakistan Sewing (MPCEPA), signed in 2007. The Free Trade Agreement was signed to promote the trade of goods and services, and guarantee regulated cross -border investment flows. MPCEPA guarantees the development of capacities in intellectual property protection, medical care, telecommunications, tourism and construction.

The agreements are ready to deepen collaboration, going beyond traditional diplomacy to foster tangible growth and shared prosperity for both nations.
