This marks his second visit to Azerbaijan since he assumed the position in March 2024. It is accompanied by a high -level delegation, including the Vice Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, together with key members of the Cabinet, which reflects the Pakistan’s commitment to deepen ties with Azerbaiyan.
During the visit, both parties will maintain discussions about energy, commerce, defense, education and climatic cooperation. Several agreements are expected to be signed to strengthen bilateral collaboration.
Azerbaijan remains a key economic and strategic socio for Pakistan, with strong cooperation in multiple sectors. The visit underlines Pakistan’s commitment to expand ties and promote economic collaboration.
Prime Minister Shehbaz is also scheduled to pronounce an opening speech in a business forum organized in association with the Azerbaijan export and investment promotion agency (Azpromo). In addition, together with President Aliyev, he will visit Fuzuli as part of a special tour of Karabak’s liberated territories.
The visit aims to improve economic ties, explore new roads of cooperation and reaffirm Pakistan’s unwavering support for Azerbaijan.
