PM summons the National Command Authority meeting in the midst of the continuous military operation against India

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has gathered an emergency meeting of the National Command Authority (NCA) as the Pakistan Army continues the Bunyan-Marshusose operation, an important reprisal campaign in response to the attacks of Indian missiles and drones earlier this week.

The National Command Authority (NCA) is the highest civil and military body responsible for the command, control and operational decisions regarding the Pakistan nuclear weapons program and strategic assets. The NCA also establishes a policy for all strategic nuclear forces and strategic organizations.

According to security sources, the operation, carried out in the early hours of Saturday, has been addressed to multiple Indian military facilities of high value. Confirmed strikes include the destruction of the Brahmos missile storage site in Beas, Udhampur Airbase, Pathankot Airfield and Adampur Airfield, which, according to reports, was used to launch missiles to Amritsar, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Security officials also reported that the headquarters of the Indian Brigade in G-Top and the supply deposit in URI have been destroyed. In addition, Pakistan has attacked and neutralized an Indian artillery position in Dehrangyari and a Brahmos storage site in Nagrota, with large losses reports.

The authorities also confirmed that Pakistan launched their Al-Fatah missile during the operation, naming it in honor of the innocent Pakistani children killed in previous Indian strikes. “Pakistan has not forgotten or forget the sacrifices of these children,” said a security source.

As the military operation continues, Pakistan’s Air Force remains on a maximum alert. Airspace throughout the country closed earlier in the day until noon as a precautionary measure.
