Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered the National Responsibility Office (NAB) on Tuesday that accelerates the elimination of pending cases, while emphasizing the need for effective measures to help victims of financial fraud and guarantee the rapid recovery of their lost funds. He passed the instructions to the President of Anti-Injustrto Surveillance LT Gen (RETD) Nazir Ahmad Butt, who called him to the Prime Minister’s office. In informing the prime minister, the president of NAB highlighted the recent achievements of the office, noting that in the last two years, Buster Graft had recovered billions of rupees in embezzled public funds and recovered hundreds of acres of illegally occupied state lands valued at billions. According to the report, NAB concluded 700 consultations, completed 218 investigations and presented 21 new references during the 2023-2024 period.
