The Department of Meteorology of Pakistan has issued an early weather warning, predicting rain and thunderstorms in Karachi and other parts of Sindh on Mondays and Tuesdays.
According to the MET office, certain suburban areas of Karachi can receive showers accompanied by thunder on Monday night or Tuesday. Racked winds are also expected during the rain in peripheral areas on Tuesday.
The department said that a western weather system is affecting the higher regions of the country, while moisture winds enter into Eastern parts of Sindh.
Under its influence, it is likely that the light scattered to moderate rain with thunder is in districts such as Ghotki, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Qambar Shahadkot, Shikarpur, Khairpur, Dadu, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad and Tharparkar.
Between June 16 and 17, rain is also expected in Tharparkar, Uumerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Hyderabad, Matiari, Thatta, Sujawal and Badin.
Meanwhile, the climate in Karachi is expected to remain hot and humid with partially clouded skies in the next three days.
The maximum temperature can range between 36 ° C and 38 ° C. Humidity levels can reach up to 80% in the morning and 55% at night.
On the other hand, PMD said that a west weather system will continue to affect the country until Monday.
While most of Punjab will continue to be isolated and hot and dry areas, including Murree, Lahore, Rawalpindi and fine, can see dust storms and sun loungers. Rain is also expected dispersed in Kashmir.
