Islamabad:
The Department of Meteorology of Pakistan (PMD) has predicted rain and thunderstorms with strong winds in Islamabad, parts of Sindh, Southern Punjab, Kashmir, Northeast and South of Baluchistan, and Alto Khyber Pakhtunkhwwa starting on Monday (today).
According to the PMD, the warm and humid climate persisted in most of the country in the last 24 hours. A heavy rain is expected in parts of the south of Sindh, the east of Baluchistan and Kashmir, while the rest of the country will remain hot and humid.
In Islamabad and the surrounding areas, the weather is likely to remain partially murky and humid, with possibilities of rain at night. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts are expected to remain hot and humid, but Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Kurram and Wazirist can experience a rain scattered with storms and racious winds.
In Punjab, the weather will remain partially cloudy and humid. However, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan can receive rain and thunderstorms. Rawalpindi, Murree, Garyat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Nanowal, Lahore and its surroundings will also receive rain with thunderstorms.
In Sindh, The Areas of Mirpurkhas, Mithi, Tharparkar, Badin, Sujawal, Uumerkot, Chhachhro, Padidan, Khairpur, Karachi, Thatta, Ghotki, Chhor, Sukkur, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Larkana, Naushahro Feroze, Sanghar, Sanghar, Sanghar, Sanghar, Sanghar, Sanghar, Dadu, Hyderabad, is expected to tando Allahyar, tando Muhammad Khan, Matiari and Shaheed Benazirabad receive rain with electric storms, with some areas that probably experience strong rains.
In Baluchistan, most regions will remain hot and wet, but Barkhan, Sibi, Kohlu, Musakhel, Killa Saifullah, Lorealai, Dera Bugti, Nasirabad, Zhob, Kalat, Khuzdar, Awararan and Lasbela can be witnesses of the rain with storms.
For Kashmira and Gilgit-Baltist, a partially cloudy climate with rain and thunderstorms is expected. It is likely that heavy rains are in isolated places in Kashmir.
Citizens are advised to remain alert during the activity of thunderstorms and avoid unnecessary trips in areas where heavy rains and racing winds are expected.
