A delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q on Wednesday asked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and expressed full support for all initiatives taken by him for the economic development and public welfare of the country.
The delegation composed of members of the Chaudhry Hussain Elahi National Assembly, Muhammad Ilyas Chaudhry and Mrs. Farukh Khan and led by Pakistanis Minister abroad Chaudhry Salik Hussain called the prime minister, said PM Media Wing in a press release.
The MNA praised the prime minister and his team for presenting the federal budget for fiscal year 2025-2026 in the National Assembly.
The delegation said that both military and politician leadership were tirelessly working for the national development and well -being of people.
They also praised the exemplary leadership of the prime minister during the recent tensions with India and his efforts to raise the prestige of the country in the world. Matters related to the respective constituencies were also discussed during the meeting.
Remittances
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday the satisfaction of the increase in remittances during May 2025, which was 13.7 percent more than the previous fiscal year.
In a statement here, the prime minister said the country had received about US $ 34.9 billion in remittances during the current fiscal year, which was 28.8 percent higher than the outgoing financial year.
“US $ 3.7 billion was received in remittances during May 2025, which is 13.7% more than May of last year. The increase in remittances is evidence of the growing confidence of Pakistani abroad in the government’s economic policies,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz.
He added that the economic measures of the government and the friendly budget for people for the next fiscal year were an omen of a brilliant future for the country.

The Prime Minister hosted the record increase in the stock market to 124,000 points, said that the upward trend reflected the confidence of investors and entrepreneurs in the Pro-Personas Budget presented by the Government on Tuesday.
The prime minister, in a statement, said that in the federal budget 2025-26, the government did not impose an additional tax burden on the common man, and that the salary increase and tax reductions would provide relief to the wage class.
“The trip to national economic progress has begun. The people of Pakistan made immense sacrifices. Now, we must all work together to improve the life of the common man,” he said. He also appreciated the government’s economic team whose efforts led to the reduction of inflation and the increase in foreign exchange reserves.
“The return of Pakistan of the edge of breach, the beginning of economic stability and the trip to progress is a miracle. This historical economic change, achieved through the hard work of the economic team and prioritizing the interests of Pakistan, will be recorded in history forever,” he said.
