A police convoy was attacked by an improvised explosive device (IED) in Doaba area of Hangu on Sunday, leaving three officers injured, including Station House Officer (SHO) Imranuddin, police officials confirmed.
According to police sources, the convoy was returning from a peace committee meeting when it was attacked. Senior officials, including Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Abdul Samad, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Tall Mujahid and SHO Imranuddin, were traveling in the convoy at the time.

After the explosion, a shootout broke out between police personnel and the attackers. SHO Imranuddin and two other police officers were injured during the incident. The exchange of fire was still continuing at the time of writing.
SP Abdul Samad said the attack was carried out using an improvised explosive device placed along the convoy route. More details are expected as the situation develops.
