Peshawar:
While Khyber Pakhtunkhwa lidia with an increase in terrorist attacks, security forces kept the line on Monday, repelting assailants in Lakki Marwat, Peshawar and Khyber in separate incidents.
In Lakki Marwat, a group of 10 to 15 strongly armed militants tried to attack the Gambila police station. However, the police retaliate strongly, backing to the attackers.
Lakki Marwat Dpo Mohammad Jawad Ishaq confirmed that the timely response prevented a great assault, forcing militants to flee with their weapons.
Meanwhile, in Peshawar, the terrorists launched an attack by Granada at a police control point, while another group opened fire at a Khyber police control point in Bypass Road, injuring two staff members.
The wounded officers were immediately transferred to a hospital, while the attackers fled after suffering in the retaliation fire.
A separate attack was also reported at the control point Jamrud FC, where terrorists participated in a shooting with the FC Bara Rifles staff. The assailants managed to escape under the cover of darkness after intense shot.
Meanwhile, security forces killed two terrorists in a joint operation by the Terrorism Department (CTD) and the Bannu Police after an attack against a police officer.
Early in the day, armed motorcyclists ambushed the lower head agent Arman Khan in Miranshah Road, killing him in the place before escaping.
In response, Rpo Bannu, Dpo Bannu and SP CTD launched an intelligence -based operation near the Barran bridge.
As soon as the police teams approached, the militants opened fire, which led the security forces to retaliate. There was a 30 -minute shooting, which resulted in the murder of two terrorists.
The authorities confiscated weapons of the murdered militants, and their bodies were transferred to a hospital for identification.
