FINED: An unknown woman kidnapped a two-day-old newborn in nishtar hospital, leaving the community and authorities in trouble. The incident occurred in ward 16 of the hospital and law enforcement agencies obtained CCTV footage that captures the woman fleeing with the child.
According to details, the baby was born to Sattar, a resident of Kabirwala, just a day before the kidnapping. The father reported that the unidentified woman approached him to congratulate him on the birth of his son. Gaining her trust, she picked up the child, showing him affection, and stated that she would take him to the entrance of the room to show him to her husband. However, he took the opportunity to escape with the newborn.
CCTV footage shows the woman carrying the baby and leaving the room. Authorities are using the footage as part of their ongoing investigation to locate the child and arrest the suspect.
The police confirmed that a case has been registered at the Cantt police station based on the father’s complaint. Multan police have formed a special team to investigate the matter, urging anyone with information to come forward.
The incident has sparked concern among residents, raising questions about the hospital’s safety protocols and the need for stricter measures to ensure patient safety.
