One police officer was martyred and 13 were injured after an explosion took place near Balochistan University on Quetta’s Saryab Road, the counter-terrorism department (CTD) said on Monday.
Three pedestrians were also injured in the explosion, which took place near a police mobile, CTD officials said, as the nature of the explosion remains uncertain.
Rescue officials shifted the injured to Quetta Civil Hospital and Bolan Medical Complex Hospital for necessary treatment.
