The police authorities have decided to rigorously monitor the use of social networks by police personnel in Punjab, indicating a strict departmental action against those who rise inappropriate positions or content.

In the case of any period of monitoring at the central, regional or district level, departmental measures will also be taken against Public Relations (PRO) officers in question.

This decision was made after complaints about police officers and staff, both in uniform and uniform, carrying inappropriate positions and content on social networks with respect to government institutions.

The additional investigation of IG Punjab has sent a letter to the Regional Police officer of Rawalpindi (RPO) Babar Sarfraz Alpa and the police officer of the city of Rawalpindi (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani, as well as RPO, CPO and DPO throughout the province, including CCPO Lahore.

The letter refers to the monitoring of the use of social networks. The letter establishes that the SOP to monitor publications in social networks, videos and other content through PRO in the central, regional and district offices have already been issued by the Wing of Operations of the Central Police Office.
