Islamabad:
The Energy Division has transferred the National Electric Power Regulation (NEPRA) Authority to enforce a uniform rate for electricity consumers throughout the country.
Nepra will hold a audience on July 1 on the petition. The Federal Government has submitted a request under the rules 1998 Section 17. It was presented in the request that the rationalization of the subsidy and the interdisci rates will be included in the proposed rate.
The initiative is taken to set uniform rates throughout the country. It is proposed that the uniform rate be fixed as of July 1. According to Nepra, the hearing will consider the federal government application.
