The Vice Prime Minister Ishaq gave the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP) on Saturday for its continuous support for the ruling coalition and reaffirmed that the PPP remains an ally of trust, despite the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) ensuring a simple majority in the National Assembly.
Speaking to Data Drabar journalists, he said that the current government was initially formed with critical support from the PPP. “When we started, our numbers were incomplete without them. Now that we have a simple majority, there is no difficulty, but we will continue to cooperate with PPP even more than before,” he said.
In response to a question about how to offer ministries to the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP), the Deputy Prime Minister said the PPP had not made such a request. “They are our allies and will continue to be like that. We have an excellent working relationship and have extended us full support,” he said. “Those who support you in difficult times are not abandoned when things improve.”
Dar pointed out that both parties had signed a formal agreement, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif represented the PML-N and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari signing on behalf of the PPP. “That agreement is a sacred document for us, and we are totally committed to its implementation.”

When addressing the recent political speculation, the Deputy Prime Minister categorically denied the reports of a meeting between the PML-N leader, Nawaz Sharif, and the founder of PTI Imran Khan.
He described the statements as “rumors without foundation” and a “sponsored narrative”, adding that such stories were deliberately floating to create confusion. “These are simply someone’s desire list. We have no need to approach anyone,” he said.
DPM reaffirmed the government’s opening to commit to all political parties, saying that I was prepared to work throughout the hall in national interest. “When Pakistan was under threat, we were committed not only to the partners of the coalition, but also with the opposition. The result was a unified message heard worldwide.”
When discussing the economic perspective, he said that the country had not avoided breach in April 2022 when the PDM government assumed the position. “If that change had not happened, we could have breached. Yes, we paid a political price, but stabilized the economy. Today, our reservations are $ 14.5 billion to June 30.”
He accredited the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz for key economic gains, including the reduction of interest rates from 22% to 11% and improvements in per capita income.
Dar, who also has the designation of the Foreign Minister, highlighted a diplomatic advance with the United Arab Emirates, where he met with the Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed on June 24. “This was the first meeting of the Bilateral Economic Commission in 12 years. We solved long -standing visa problems and the conversations are underway to include Blue holders.”

In Pakistan’s ties with Iran, he said that Tehran now sees Islamabad as a sincere ally. “We condemn Israeli aggression against Iran and extended total diplomatic support to a fraternal country,” he said.
Touching defense and regional issues, Dan said that Pakistan had firmly responded to Indian hostility in the past. “India began the war, and demolished six of its combat planes. We were firm and defeated a much larger enemy,” he said.
While the high fire along the control line was maintained, giving recognized that tensions could always increase. “The War rhetoric of India seems driven by national compulsions. We continue alert: we have handled such situations before and we will continue to do so.”
In the domestic government, GIV said that corruption must be addressed in all provinces, including Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, through due legal process. “The responsibility must be uniform,” he added.
