- Viltrox becomes the tenth member of the L-Mount alliance
- Some of its current and future lenses could obtain treatment with the l mount
- Leica, Panasonic, Sigma, Blackmagic Design and DJI make assembly cameras L
In my book, Viltrox is the change of lens game, because its latest professional and laboratory lenses offer incredible construction and optical quality, to a cut compared to patented equivalents.
I took your F1.8 laboratory of 135 mm, an excellent portrait lens, as I discovered when I matched it with a full frame nikon camera. This lens is the real business, for only one third of Nikon’s full price.
Until now, Viltrox has focused his attention on the lenses for Sony’s electronic amount, followed by Fujifilm X-Mount and Nikon Z-Mount. But today it marks an exciting chapter for the Chinese lens that is in this way: it has joined the L-Mount alliance.
Established by Leica, the L-Mount is used by a series of brands, including Panasonic, Sigma, Blackmagic Design, DJI and, of course, Leica itself.
Viltrox becomes the tenth member of the L-Monte Alliance, and the promise that its high quality optics is made in L-Mount versions is great news for anyone who shoots with an L-Mount camera too, such as the Pansonic Lumix S1R II or Blackmagic Pyxis 6K.
A win-win situation
Viltrox follows Sirui as another low-cost lenses manufacturer in the L-Mount alliance, but this latest news is possibly even more exciting given the ascending curve of Viltrox and the growing reputation.
We factor its new Sony 35 mm F1.2 laboratory for Sony cameras as “an impressive lens with an irresistible price”, granting five stars of five in our in -depth review. Similarly, its AF 16 mm F1.8 is a “go to Prime ultra width for landscape and astrophotography. “
Only this week Viltrox also announced a new 56 mm F1.2 lens for APS-C cultivation sensors, available for Sony E and Fujifilm X-Mount, which looks like an excellent portrait optics.
The portfolio of Monte L comprises 20 cameras and more than 120 lenses, and is ready to grow with the addition of Viltrox. As user of Nikon Z-Mount, I’m already in my third Viltrox Z-Mount lens, and I couldn’t be happier.
We still do not know what lenses they will receive the treatment with the l l, but if you shoot with a mounting camera, trust me, you must see this space to see what viletrox lenses are thrown, you will not disappoint you.
