President Zardari promises to expand defense, aviation ties with China


Islamabad:

President Asif Ali Zardari reaffirmed on Sunday that Pakistan and China would continue to expand collaboration in defense and aviation production, further deepening their strategic association for all climate.

He said that the J-10 and the JF-17 had greatly strengthened the Pakistan Air Force, a clearly demonstrated fact during the May Marka-E-HAQ 2025 and the Bunyanum Marsoos operation.

The president visited the Chinese Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC), the Chinese defense and aerospace conglomerate of China dedicated to the design and production of a wide range of military and civil planes, said the president of the Secretary of the Secretariat press in a statement.

During the visit, the president toured the extensive complex in its entirety, which produces the J-10C combat plane that played a crucial role during the recent conflict with India.

He also met Avic’s engineers and scientists, who informed the president about his innovation, production and future technologies.

Asif Zardari was informed about Avic’s advanced capabilities, including J-10 Fighter Jet, the co-production of JF-17 Thunder with Pakistan, as well as progress in the 5th generation j-20 generation combat aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, fully automated units and integrated command systems for modern multiple systems.

He praised Avic as a symbol of the technological advance of China and the lasting strategic association between the two countries.

President Zardari’s visit also marked a historic first, since no foreign head of state visited the Avic complex.

President Zardari arrived in Chengdu on Friday to start a 10 -day visit to China at the invitation of the Chinese government. The first day, he attended the second Golden Panda awards and held conversations with high -ranking members of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

When heading to the International Culture Forum on Saturday, the president said that culture remained a “vital bridge for peace, prosperity and a shared future for humanity.”

He expressed Pakistan’s full support for China’s vision on the “exchange of civilizations and mutual learning,” and highlighted the importance of the Global Development Initiative (GDI), the Global Security Initiative (GSI) and the Global Governance Initiative (GGI), highlighting its focus on sustainable development, regional stability and inclusive international cooperation.

Zardari said the world was experiencing dramatic changes, praising President Xi Jinping for offering “a path of cooperation and win-win solutions instead of confrontation.” He congratulated the winners of the award, describing their creativity as an artistic effort that “transcends borders and unites people through shared human values.”
