President Asif Ali Zardari will embark on a state visit to China from February 4 to 8 to the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, underlining the long -standing strategic links of the two countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Monday (MOFA ).
During his stay in Beijing, President Zardari will hold high -level meetings with President XI, Prime Minister Li Qiang and other senior Chinese officials.
The discussions will cover a broad spectrum of relations of Pakistan-China, with an approach to economic and commercial cooperation, the collaboration of security and the economic corridor of China-Pakistan (CPEC).
The two parties will also exchange views on regional and global geopolitical developments and cooperation in multilateral forums.
In addition to the official conversations, President Zardari will attend the inaugural ceremony of the Nature Asian winter games in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, by special invitation of the Chinese government.
His participation highlights the growing cultural and diplomatic exchanges between the two nations.
Pakistan and China share a long -standing alliance, often described as a “strategic cooperative association for all climate.”
The visit is expected to reinforce mutual commitments in key economic and security problems, reaffirming the strong ties of Pakistan with its largest commercial partner and investment.
The journey of President Zardari arrives at a crucial moment, since Pakistan seeks to revitalize his economy and strengthen regional connectivity through CPEC, a flagship project under the Belt and Road initiative of China (BRI).
The visit is likely to result in new agreements destined to deepen economic collaboration and address regional security challenges.
According to Mofa, with both countries that face a changing geopolitical dynamic, the visit is considered as a reaffirmation of its long -standing diplomatic and economic commitments, reinforcing an association that has remained a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

Last week, President Asif Ali Zarari congratulated Chinese President Xi Jinping on the occasion of the Chinese Spring Festival and the arrival of the Snake Year.
