Punjab Minister of Information, Azma Bokhari, announced that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will soon reveal another great relief for people.

In a press conference in the provincial capital Lahore, Azma Bokhari explained the public relief provided by the Government, economic stability and the steps taken by the administration.

She said that after Eidul Fitr, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced a reduction in electricity prices, which will be extremely beneficial for the public during the hot summer months.

She mentioned that this relief occurred at the right time, and the government achieved a great feat by convincing the IMF. He also shared that soon, the prime minister will announce another great news.

The provincial minister criticized the opposition, stating that those who had interests created in IPP and energy companies cannot tolerate public relief.

Discussing the performance of the Punjab government, he mentioned that Ramadan’s public service markets saved the public RS1.11 billion, where purchases were made worth of RS3.57 billion. Around 28,000 citizens received assets worth 30 million rupees through free delivery at home of these markets.

For August, 13 new public service markets will be established, and existing markets will become solar energy at a cost of 690 million rupees.

She said that where Maryam Nawaz sees public interest, projects will be launched. Under the pilot program “Sahulat on the Go”, mobile service centers will be established in 14 locations.

The government also focuses on cleaning, the availability of medicines and the provision of employment.

Azma Bokhari also declared that the one billion RSON was spent to provide jobs with 100,000 people, and a structured cleaning system was implemented during the EID.

Criticizing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, he said that corruption stories are widely known in the province. He also expressed concern about Ghandapur’s statement about spending RS75 million rupees at the party.

Continuing with his statement, he pointed out the deterioration of the situation in health, education and infrastructure in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and mentioned evidence of corruption in the purchase of basic equipment such as hand gloves.

She raised doubts about the bad allocation of funds in the acquisition of wheat, the misuse of funds in the name of the mosques and the alleged misuse of pension funds.

The provincial minister described the policy on water distribution as unfortunate and declared that, instead of addressing the problem in demonstrations, Bilawal Bhutto should assume a responsible role.

At the end of the press conference, he expressed concern for the environment in theaters and said that the discussions had taken place with the prime minister regarding this issue. In addition, he accused theaters of trying to blackmail her and threaten legal actions.

Previously, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Thursday a reduction in electricity prices for national consumers in RS7.41 per unit.

The price cut is part of the government’s efforts to provide relief to Pakistani while working to strengthen the economy.

The announcement, held during a special event attended by members of the cabinet and business leaders, follows a request made by the Government to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for a price reduction.
