Armaghan Qureshi, the main suspect in the case of murder of Mustafa Amir, has denied confessing the crime, telling a court that the police are trying to force him a statement.
Armaghan was produced before a magistrate by the Karachi police on Saturday, said Express News.
In court, he refused to admit guilt and said the authorities were pressing him to make a confession.
“The police are trying to make me a statement under coercion,” he told the Court.
Previously, Coacusado Shiraz, also known as Shavez Bukhari, also refused to confess during his own appearance before the magistrate.
The two suspects are under investigation in relation to the murder of Mustafa Amir, a case that has attracted public attention and media in recent weeks.
The police have not yet commented on the accusations of coercion, and the case remains under judicial scrutiny as the investigators continue to collect evidence.
The Court has not yet determined whether any confessional declaration provided above are admissible according to current claims.
Last week, the Police presented a charges in the court of the Judicial Magistrate (South) with respect to a case against Archughan’s accused for threatening a lawyer, representing the plaintiff in the cases presented against him.
According to the charges presented by the police, Armaghan has confessed its crime. The report establishes that lawyer Saif Jatoi represented the plaintiff in registered cases against Archughan at the Gizri and Darakhshan police stations.
Armughan had abused the lawyer and his family at WhatsApp in April 2024. He also threatened using the army to choose them from his home.
A case was recorded against the defendants at the Boat Basin Police station. Challan was presented by the defendant’s non -lease. On February 17, the police obtained permission from ATC Clifton to interrogate Armughan. During the interrogation of the prison, the defendant confessed his crime.
Mustafa Amir murder case
According to the details of the case, Armaghan directed a call center in a Bungalow in the Khayaban-E-Momin of Defense area, where they worked between 30 and 40 boys and girls, along with 30 to 35 security guards parked in the facilities. The Bungalow also illegally housed three León puppies.
The interrogation report also shed light on Armaghan’s participation in the use of businesses and drugs. Before Mustafa’s murder, Armaghan, along with his friend Shiraz, planned to burn Mustafa’s car and had previously intended to damage him.
The report revealed that in 2019, Armaghan was involved in a case with respect to drug importation, but had secured bond in that matter.
According to the investigation, Armaghan himself was a drug user. On the eve of the New Year, Armaghan organized a party at the Bungalow, where Shiraz was also present until 3 in the morning. However, Mustafa did not attend the party.
The next day, Armaghan and Mustafa had a personal dispute, which became a violent confrontation. On January 6, Armaghan invited Shiraz to Bungalow to consume drugs together, and Mustafa arrived around 9 pm. During this meeting, Armaghan assaulted Mustafa with an iron bar.
Armaghan and Shiraz stripped Mustafa from their clothes, tied their hands and feet with a white sheet, and dragged him down the stairs.
Mustafa’s car was parked in the Bungalow parking lot, and placed their body in the car trunk, after which they took him to Hub.
The report details more that Armaghan instructed two employees to clean the blood stains of the room. Armaghan also took Mustafa’s clothes, mobile phone and the Internet device. When they could not find fuel in the car, Armaghan took a can of Bungalow fuel. The report explains that Ariaghan ruled out Mustafa’s mobile phone and other belongings on the road.
They arrived at the center around 4:30 am, poured gasoline in the car and set it on fire. Armaghan and Shiraz then walked to a hotel for breakfast. An hotel employee noticed a gun, and the two men fled the scene. After walking for several hours and hooking walks, they returned to Karachi.
