Prince Andrew’s ongoing crisis has threatened royal reconciliation between King Charles and his estranged son Prince Harry, a royal expert has claimed.
Prince Andrew, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and the wider royal family are struggling to cope with the backlash following the publication of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoirs.
Royal expert Jennie Bond told Mirror, “I think the King has enough right now with Andrew’s crisis and his job as Sovereign, there can’t be much room left in his head to deal with his youngest son.”
However, the royal insider said: “Let’s hope this is still quietly bubbling away behind the scenes, which is exactly where it needs to remain if we are to have any hope of seeing them together again.”
Jennie went on to say: “Perhaps, however, as she prayed in the Vatican with the Pope, her two sons – whom she once begged to ‘not make my final years a misery’ – may well have been in her thoughts and prayers.”
Jennie made new claims days after Prince Andrew shared a shocking statement about giving up his royal titles.
The palace released Prince Andrew’s statement which reads: “With Her Majesty’s agreement, we feel that I must now take a further step. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honors that have been conferred on me.”
