Princess Eugenie marked Friday her sister Princess Beatrice’s birthday with a sincere Instagram post that left her father, Prince Andrew aside, while facing a renewed scrutiny about past associations.
Eugenie shared five photographs, four with the sisters together and one, including her mother, Sarah Ferguson. “Happy happy birthday to my dear Beabea … My great ladybug, the best in the world,” he wrote in the title.
Notably absent was the Duke of York. The omission arrives only a few days after the announcement of the next book Entitled: The ascent and fall of York’s housewhich contains harmful accusations about Andrew and Ferguson.

The moment was further complicated by a new interview at The Telegraph with former butler of Jeffrey Epstein, who offered new details about Andrew’s friendship with the convict sexual offender.
The renewed attention has revived the public debate on the prince’s behavior, despite his repeated denial of irregularities.
Royal observers are divided by omission. Some suggest that Eugenie may have deliberately avoid a photo of his father to keep the focus in Beatrice and avoid throwing a shadow on the celebration.
Others argue that it could reflect a genuine discomfort about the ongoing controversies.
Meanwhile, Sarah Ferguson also shared a birthday publication to celebrate her daughter’s 37th birthday, praising her eldest daughter for her “love and understanding enough.”
