Prince Andrew to be ‘summoned’ in new investigation into Jeffrey Epstein

Prince Andrew will be ‘summoned’ to provide evidence in renewed Jeffrey Epstein investigation

Prince Andrew will be called to testify before a US committee about his connection to the late convicted pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Stephen Lynch, ranking member of the US House Oversight Committee, has announced that he intends to speak to the Prince “about his involvement in all of this.”

He added that he is “confident” that an invitation will be sent to Andrew to reveal his relationship with Epstein.

Presenter Victoria Derbyshire asked Stephen about the BBC News Night: “Would you consider inviting Prince Andrew to speak before your committee?”

He replied: “We would be very interested to hear from Prince Andrew about his involvement in all of this, yes.”

It is pertinent to mention that it would be Andrew’s own decision whether he wants to testify as he cannot be summoned to attend a hearing in the US as he is a UK citizen.

The committee is very busy with new documents and evidence, which also includes Andrew’s name.

In new leaked emails, shared by Mail on Sunday, It was revealed that Andrew stayed in contact with Epstein after his conviction in 2011. This contradicts his claim that he cut off his friend in 2010.

At the same time, her late accuser Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoirs have also shared more details about previous claims that she was forced to have sex with Andrew on three occasions. The father of two has always denied the allegations.

In the wake of the never-ending scandal, Prince Andrew announced that he will no longer use his title of Duke of York or other honors.
