Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, visited ElSstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, while their hundredth celebrations begin.
World famous as the home of cinematographic icons such as Star Wars and Indiana JonesElstree Studios is one of the oldest and most prestigious film and television studies in Great Britain.
First visit the BBC1 series drama set EastendersThe Duke met with the executive producer of the Ben Wadey program and the senior production manager Rona Mckendrick, before being received by two of Eastenders Older service actors, Michelle Collins (who plays Cindy Beale) and Adam Woodyatt (who plays Ian Beale).
Prince Edward also visited the facilities behind the scene and the production set, Thomas Crown’s issueScheduled for its launch in 2027.
Duke’s tour concluded by gathering staff and learning more about the history of studies.
King Charles’ younger brother spoke about the important contribution that creative industries do in the United Kingdom, before presenting a plaque that marks his visit and the centenary of Elstree.
