There was speculation that Harry, Meghan Markle and their children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, could return to the United Kingdom this summer and join King Charles.
However, Harry’s hopes of reconciliation have reportedly been crushed amid mounting pressures on King Charles, 77, who continues to receive treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer while facing wider challenges.
The latest claims have raised new doubts about any imminent real reconciliation between father and son.
From Harry’s point of view, the situation has become deeply disturbing: He feels as if his father was quietly ignoring him at a time when he truly believed they were beginning to rebuild some kind of connection, according to a new report.
An informant stated OK!“He [Harry] he is being deceived and ignored by his own father. “It’s devastating for him.”
A royal commentator also revealed that the King had shifted his “focus” elsewhere in recent months.
They said: “There is a growing impression that the King has, to some extent, taken a step back from trying to actively engage in the situation. His focus appears to be elsewhere, with a number of pressing responsibilities and concerns taking priority over trying to resolve matters with Harry.”
In Harry’s opinion, there are external influences and pressures that shape how things develop. That perception has deepened his frustration, because it makes him feel as if any attempt to rebuild bridges is being complicated by factors over which he has little or no control, making progress much more difficult to achieve.
An insider added: “Harry increasingly feels that what is happening is not just about a rift between him and his father, but that there are broader influences and internal dynamics shaping the situation behind the scenes.”
