Prince Harry must have made readers cry with his emotional letter ahead of the royal family gathering for two special events.
On December 1, UK-based charity WellChild announced on its official Instagram page that its latest Impact Report had been published, along with a heartfelt message from its patron, the Duke of Sussex.
In a lengthy statement, Harry wrote: “Every year, as a WellChild patron, I am humbled by the extraordinary spirit of the WellChild community.
“While the challenges faced by families caring for children with complex medical needs have not diminished, the strength and resilience of those families and the charity that supports them remains strong.”
Harry praised the efforts made by the WillChild team as they continue to provide support by “advocating, innovating and ensuring” that seriously ill children can be cared for safely at home or in their communities despite the immense pressure.
The father of two recalled his special meeting with the outstanding winners of the WellChild Awards in 2024, stating that it is always a pleasure to hear stories from “these children, their families and the professionals…”
Additionally, Prince Harry praised the charity’s “Family Tree peer support network” as it offers immense support to affected people and their families, who often feel alone.
At the end of his letter, Harry expressed his gratitude to the “brilliant staff, board, WellChild nurses, supporters, volunteers and families” for doing their job sincerely.
“Your participation in our story changes lives every day and I am honored to be at your side on this mission,” he concluded.
It is pertinent to note that Prince Harry sent a touching message to the United Kingdom days before major royal family gatherings, Princess Kate’s carol service and the traditional royal walk at Sandringham.
In particular, like every year, Harry fans are looking forward to a reunion between the royals and the Sussexes during the Christmas season.
