Prince Harry has once again thrown his father out of the frying pan and straight into the fire, supposedly with his new war of optics.
It’s all been broken down by royal commentator and Daily Beast contributor Tom Skyes in his ‘The Royalist’ substack.
There he claims that while sources previously revealed that regular phone calls have resumed once again between father and son, and many assumed Harry would ‘avoid upstaging’ major royal events such as Remembrance Sunday scheduled for November 9, or even Armistice Day on November 11, “to make his own gesture”, he has instead “triggered a new optical war”.
According to Skyes, “his team denies any attempt to upstage William’s appearance in Rio, which will feature Kylie Minogue and was attended by world political leaders, but attributed the late announcement to Harry’s lack of International Protected Person status and ongoing security disputes.”
But for the writer, that explanation “is unlikely to convince him because, when compared to something like his older brother’s trip to Brazil, “a charity dinner in Toronto runs the risk of seeming modest.”
For those unfamiliar with this journey, the Duke has a lot to do for Canada. From visiting the Sunnybrook Veterans Center to attending events supporting veterans on Remembrance Day.
Additionally, this will all follow a private luncheon hosted by the True Patriot Love Foundation, a group dedicated to supporting Canadian military personnel and their families.
