Prince Harry has reportedly taken another major step for security in Britain almost five months after losing a legal challenge over the levels of security he and his family are entitled to while in the UK.
This was stated by royal expert Kate Mansey in her report for the Times.
Citing royal sources, Kate writes, Archie and Lilibet’s doting father has reignited his security battle with the Home Office by writing to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood about her case.
The source claims Harry lodged a formal request with the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec), overseen by the Home Office, requesting that a risk assessment process be carried out.
The source says: “I can confirm that the duke has written to the new Home Secretary requesting a risk management meeting be held.
“While he realizes this won’t be a priority in the incoming secretary’s inbox, it is something that should have happened a long time ago. We’ve had the can on hold for quite some time now, but all he’s asking is for Ravec to comply with his own rules which state that an RMB must be made every year. The last one for the duke was in 2019.”
Home Office sources have confirmed that Harry has requested an assessment.
