Prince William and Kate Middleton marked the big day of Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent.
The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a personal message through their official Instagram account.
Sharing a photo of the Duke of Kent with King Charles, the caption read: “Wishing the Duke of Kent a happy 90th birthday!” along with a cake emoji.
Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, Charles’ first cousin and one of the best-known members of the royal family.
Before Prince William and Kate Middleton, King Charles and Queen Camilla also celebrated Edward’s birthday.
The royal family’s official Instagram account, on behalf of the King and Queen, paid tribute to the Duke.
The statement shared read: “I wish the Duke of Kent a very happy birthday – he turns 90 today!”
“Later this month, the King will host a birthday reception for the Duke, who was Queen Elizabeth II’s first cousin, at Windsor Castle,” he concluded.
