Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a brief message in their Instagram stories on Thursday after their visit to the Natural History Museum of London, marking a rare joint public appearance for the couple.
“It is great to see how the National Pair Program of the Nature of the National Education of the Museum is helping young people to learn about the natural word,” the couple wrote, accompanying a photo collage of their interactions with students, volunteers and scientists.
The publication on social networks offered glimpses of Thursday’s visit, which represents one of the few times that the royal couple has appeared publicly since Catherine was diagnosed with cancer last year.
During his speech in the museum, Catherine emphasized “the transformative power of nature”, highlighting how contact with green spaces benefits physical, mental and spiritual well -being.
The couple toured the Evolution Garden and the Discovery Nature garden, committed to students, volunteers and scientists involved in the educational programs of the museum.
Royal Watchers described Catherine’s return to public duties as “a strong sign of resilience, newly discovered energy and continuous commitment” after his extensive absence of official commitments.
