Prince William has been taking big steps behind the Palace doors to address the current challenges that have been a nightmare for the royal family.
King Charles has reportedly been delegating responsibilities to the Prince of Wales, knowing full well that William would one day take over the monarchy. Although it does not erase the fact that there is an important rapprochement conflict between the monarch and his heir.
The royals are currently dealing with the fallout from the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scandals and his connection to pedophile Jeffery Epstein. While William’s cousins Beatrice and Eugenia also face an uncertain future, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are also on the future king’s agenda.
“William is not afraid to make difficult decisions,” a source told journalist Rob Shuter. “And right now, that’s exactly what the Royal Family needs.”
The source noted that the monarchy is under “more pressure than ever” and the royals need someone who can make “difficult and unpopular decisions,” even if it comes with a high price.
“He understands what’s at stake,” the source added. “This is not just a family, it’s a business.”
William is aware of all the problems, especially those caused by his blood relatives and is acting accordingly. “He’s not trying to please. He’s trying to protect the monarchy.”
According to friends of William, there is a contrast between father and son. Charles “leads with his heart” and William “leads with strategy.”
Royal experts have claimed that the Prince of Wales has a “ruthless” approach and “does not easily forget or forgive”.
“If you cross the line, that’s it.”
Although Charles is still king, he understands that William will take the reins in the future. Hence, although he holds authority, William has been making a large part of all the decisions that are made.
