
Princess Royal visited Sark, an island, part of the Channel Islands at the Southwestern Chaingly Canal, said a statement on Saturday.
“In Sark, Princess Royal has visited residents and joined celebrations to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the island’s release,” the statement added.
He said: “His real highness heard about his experiences and the military meaning of the island during the war.”
“Princess Royal also visited Little Sark, becoming the first member of the royal family to do so.”
The Real joined the admiral of her husband Sir Tim Laurence, since they marked the 80th anniversary of the release of Bailiwick.
On May 6, King Charles and other Royal Senior joined veterans and crowds to see a great military parade and a flypast at the beginning of four days of commemorations that mark the 80th anniversary of victory in Europe (VE).
Ve Day marks the anniversary of the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany that entered into force on May 8, 1945. It is observed around that date in many countries, including France, the United States and Russia.
