Princess Anne to mark 25 years of celebration after ‘outstanding’ honor

Just days after a race at Cheltenham was named in her honour, Princess Anne is heading to Gloucestershire.

On Tuesday, King Charles’ indefatigable sister will be in Cirencester to celebrate 25 years of Project Churn, a community lifeline that has quietly supported families in crisis.

You’ll then head to the Whitminster Playing Field and Pavilion, where the Gloucestershire Playing Fields Association is celebrating a whopping 100 years.

Anne will conclude her Gloucestershire tour at the Grace Network in the former Cirencester department store, which links churches and charities to tackle food poverty, debt and hardship across the area.

The visit comes after a huge honor from Cheltenham Racecourse, which has renamed Hunters’ Chase at the legendary Cheltenham Festival in his honour.

The newly created Princess Royal Challenge Cup Open Hunters Steeplechase will go into action on March 13, 2026, just after the iconic Cheltenham Gold Cup on Gold Cup Day.

Racing bosses hailed her as an “excellent all-round equestrian”.
