Kate Middleton and Prince William made a stunning appearance when they attended the German State Banquet on Wednesday night at Windsor Castle.
Kensington Palace shared a glamorous official portrait of the Prince and Princess of Wales as the couple dressed to the nines for the big event.
Taken by photographer Alex Bramall at Frogmore House, a royal residence near Windsor Castle, the photograph was accompanied by a short message.
“We look forward to a special banquet tonight in Windsor,” the caption read along with emojis of the German flags and Union Jack.
Princess Kate looked stunning in her blue Jenny Packham caped dress which she paired with Queen Victoria’s circular oriental tiara.
Kate had worn the tiara for the first time and chose a pair of the late Queen Elizabeth’s earrings with the ensemble. For the honours, he wore the sash and star of the Order of the Royal Family and the Royal Victorian Order.
Prince William, for his part, opted for a Windsor tailcoat with a white tie. He donned his insignia and medals which included his Most Noble Order of the Garter Sash with the Order of the Collar of George the Lesser and Grand Master of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath.
