The University of Punjab published on Monday a revised schedule for all exams that were previously postponed due to Pakistan-India tension.
According to the official notification of the University, the associated degree exams in arts, sciences and commerce, together with specially scheduled category documents for May 9 and 10, will now be held on Wednesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 15.
Revised dates have also been announced for BBA written exams (Hons). These documents will now take place on Thursday, May 15 and Friday, May 16.
In addition, practical exams for BFA programs in graphic design and textile design have been reprogrammed for Monday, May 19 and Tuesday, May 20.
The university confirmed that the places and the moment for all the reprogrammed exams will remain unchanged.
Meanwhile, all public and private educational institutions in Punjab reopened on Monday, May 12, after a temporary closure caused by the main tensions of Pakistan-India.
The closures were applied on May 7 after the attacks of the Indian missiles and drones aimed at Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), which led the provincial education department to suspend academic activities as a precaution.
The Minister of Education of Punjab, Rana Sikandar Hayat, confirmed the reopening in a statement on Sunday, citing better security conditions. “Student’s safety and staff remain our top priority. With the stabilized situation, schools and universities will resume themselves as scheduled,” he said.
The conflict had also interrupted the exams of the Intermediate and Secondary Education Board (BISE). The scheduled documents, including the translation of the Quran, ethics, mathematics, biology and several practices, were postponed in LaHore, fine and other regions.
