Sony has confirmed that the console issues for limited time, which allow it to decide its PS5 user interface in an original PlayStation, PS2, PS3 or PS4 aesthetic, will be eliminated today.
In a recent publication of X / Twitter, Sony thanked fans for the “fantastic response” to the issues, but confirmed that “they will” today. ” This is bad news if you were a fan of the unique appearance, but here is a positive side.
Thanks to the “positive response in these four songs” Sony is now “doing some work behind the scene” to bring them back in the “months that come.” There is still no clear time frame, but presumably this will imply making them a permanent option in PS5 at some point at the end of this year.
Despite this, Sony also declared that “there are no plans to create additional issues in the future”, which is a massive shame. Many PS4 owners loved the ability to customize the start screen of their console, which has a wide range of free options and payments inspired by the best games. Although it has been a very requested characteristic for PS5, it seems that we will not see anything as integral as that old system implemented in the short term.
Given the very scarce appearance of the PS5 beginning screen, I would definitely care about the ability to season things a bit. At least the future return of these four retro themes is better than anything.
