ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), following approval by the federal cabinet, notified the Policy Framework for Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) Services in Pakistan to promote competition, innovation and improve consumer choice in the telecom sector.
The framework allows MVNOs to offer nationwide and next-generation mobile services under their own brand identities through commercial agreements with licensed mobile network operators, without owning spectrum, according to a press release issued here on Wednesday.
